On : 16.0 [IP2016] version, System Admin

Vendor Parameter has column limit of 256, but more is required

Vendor Parameter for Data Quality, entered in the following:

Administration - Data Quality > Third Party Administrator > Vendor Parameter

Buscomp: DQ Vendor Parameter (table S_DQ_SYST_PARM)
Field: Value (column VALUE)

OOTB field length is 100 for field Value.

OOTB column length is 255 for column VALUE.

The concern is with Token/Query Expressions (such as 'Contact Token Expression' and 'Contact Query Expression'). Administrators are unable to create more complex expression as they are limited to 256 characters. Since this is a Standard Field/Column, it is not supported to modify or increase the length.

Admins would like to have the field longer to accomodate more complex Token and Query expressions.

Navigate to: Administration - Data Quality > Third Party Administration > Vendor Parameter
Notice that you cannot enter a value more than 100 initially, and see that base on the table you are limitting the length to 256.

Due to this, Admins are limited on their Token and Query expressions.
