Need explanation on how to set up session timeouts with REST API.
There is a parameter SessKeepAlive that appears in two places:
1. siebsrvr.properties file SessKeepAlive
2. EAI Object Manager component > hidden parameter SessKeepAlive
The following was observed during testing:
a. The value in the file siebsrvr.properties is null by default (even though the documentation states the following: "the Siebel REST Proxy Object Manager reads the values set on the Siebel Server and writes it to the siebsrvr.properties file.")
b. The EAI Object Manager sessions timeout out after 10 minutes.
The value for the SessKeepAlive hidden parameter on the EAI Object Manager is 600 (even though Doc ID 1901988.1 states it is 7200).
Please clarify the following:
A. Why is there a discrepancy in documentation and values around this SessKeepAlive parameter?
B. Please provide suggestions on how to enable EAI OM tasks for REST request to time out after 30 minutes? Does the SessKeepAlive parameter on the EAI Object Manager need to be updated? Or, just the SessKeepAlive parameter in the siebsrvr.properties? Or, both needs to be updated and why?
