Turning On Event Logs For Few Events Causing Performance Degradation In Application (Doc ID 2278838.1)

We have turned on logging for below events

ObjMgrBusCompLog=4
ObjMgrBusServiceLog=4

Post the same we can see in the servers where logging were turned up, transactions became 5 to 10 times slower than normal. For example, login which was taking 5secs took 40+ secs post turning the event logging on for selected events.

We are experiencing this behaviour in IP2015 and didnt see this behaviour in siebel 8.1.1.11 patchset 17 version.

Changes

 Increase log level for below events to 4

 

ObjMgrBusCompLog=4
ObjMgrBusServiceLog=4

 

Immediately CPU and performance of the application degrades with in 5 minutes
