user question

In the current Siebel application, there are certain things which Siebel does before saving the finger print image in the attachments based on vendor information. Siebel will generate a UI to agents to Capture Scan , ReScan and Ok options which has different ActiveX commands with Class API to call to capture the finger prints.

Existing Process: In our current Siebel eCommunication application we are using Diyarsmartreader Finger print device where Diyar middleware provided a Diyar API, ActiveX control and DLL file which is configured and used from Applet browser script to launch the finger print to scan, rescan or capture the image and save it in attachments.

  Image = new ActiveXObject("DiyarSmartReader.DiyarSmartReaderAPI");

1. Registering the DLL
RegSvr32.exe has the following command-line options: Regsvr32 [/u] [/n] [/i[:cmdline]]

2. We are calling a browser script ( we are calling html file in the below code from highlighted portion )
  a. sOptions="dialogTop:500;dialogLeft:500;dialogWidth:500px;center:yes;dialogHeight:500px;edge:sunken;resizable:no;scroll:no";
  var retValue = theApplication().ShowModalDialog("AkkiG.html","", sOptions);

3. Once we get base64ImageCode image then we are saving it in attachments.

Now the customer would like to use the MORPHO fingerprint device instead for which MorphoSmart_SDK drivers CD & device is provided.
Without ActiveX control and DLL it is not possible to call the new device provided by MORPHO vendor.

The biggest challenge is we don’t have any API, DLL and ActiveX control provided by MORPHO vendor so, we are not sure how to configure the finger print with Siebel and would like to know your view and expertise / recommendations to get an answer, please help.
