JMS Log Not Generated When Using Path With Capital Letters On Unix
Last updated on MARCH 01, 2018
Applies to:Siebel CRM - Version 15.14 [IP2015] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When specifying the location of where to create the JMS log (ie. jms.log) in the JVM Subsystem VMOPTIONS parameter, if the path specified contains/references a directory name in upper case, the jms log files do not generated.
1. When the VMOPTIONS parameter has the path: /home/siebel/siebel/ses/siebsrvr/enterprises/siebel/siebel/log/jms.log
After the JMSReceiver task runs/processes requests, the jms.log file is generated in the path specified above.
This is correct and expected.
2. When the VMOPTIONS parameter has the path: /home/TEST/jms.log
After the JMSReceiver task runs/processes requests, the jms.log file IS NOT generated in the path specified above.
Note the difference is that the path has a directory name in upper case in this failing scenario.
Due to this issue, users cannot generate JMS logs for troubleshooting.
