Configuring A New Enterprise In A Gateway Name Server failing with 5004 Error (Doc ID 2303187.1)

Siebel CRM - Version 15.5 [IP2015] and later

Symptoms

On : 15.5 [IP2015] version, New Installation

Database is db2 udb 10.5 installed in AIX

When attempting to configure a New enterprise in a Gateway Name Server, the following error occurs.

ERROR

Command after calling typeUtility.buildNSCmd: /usr/siebel/ses/gtwysrvr/bin/srvredit -g gateway_name:2320 -e enterprise_name -u siebel -p ****** -a -c \$Enterprise.DatabaseCurrentSQLID
Running above command using configUtil.runProgram

In customer environment, it got exit after 5004

In lab environment after successful installation, don't see 5004 also it creates multiple folders


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. IP 15.5 , configure new enterprise in Gateway pointing file system folder without permissions

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot configure Enterprise
