Customer is reporting an issue with Navigation to Contact Screen Homepage View Blank With Custom Button and PM/PR Scripting.
They have a business requirement that when an outbound web service integration fails, a popup message is displayed to the user and Siebel needs to navigate automatically to the Contact Screen Homepage View.
To achieve this, they developed an outbound web service workflow and some PM scripting to obtain data retrieved and perform a FINS Goto View Service with method GotoView.
What is happening is that Siebel navigates to the view but it is blank, so the user cannot progress or work.
To help understand their development more fully, here is an abstract of steps used to achieve their request:
1) function callDISASignaturePad is called through PM script and this calls a custom business service for outbound web service (BCSUtilitiesBS method QueryContactListValidation)
2) the workflow BCS Query Contact List Validation WF makes the outbound web service and retrieve the final result on ErrorCode and ErrorMessage properties
3) PM script gets these variable values and if they comes with error then calls another BCSUtilitiesBS method (GoToView) in order to navigate to Contact Screen Homepage View and Contact Home Search Virtual Form Applet
It is noted that after clicking on the 'Accept' button, the resulting screen is the Contacts Screen > BCS Contact Identity Validation View, but it is blank. There is also an error that pops up after clicking on the 'Accept' button, noted below:
