Unable to Connect To POP3 Server From Siebel, Telnet Connects

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to access email from Exchange Server, the following errors were noted in the CommInboundRcvr server logs:
- ERROR:End of stream encountered before finding CRLF
- ERROR:Unable to connect to POP3 server xxxx.mail.example.xx on port 110
*NOTE* The client is not using TLS / SSL encryption.
An Exchange Server restart had occurred, due to a power outage.
