Home Page Getting 500 Error

Symptoms

On : 17.6 [IP2017] version, Upgrade

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
User is able to log in to the application without issues, it lands on the custom home page view, if the home page view icon is clicked the HTTP 500 error is found.
User is able to navigate to Service Requests after logging to the application, but when clicking on home page view icon it gives HTTP 500 error.
The home page view is the same landing view on the initial log in.
Once HTTP 500 is found it is no longer possible to do any other navigation.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

http 500 should not be encountered


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log in to the application
2. Home page view is displayed
3. Click on the home page view icon

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users are not able to go to home page view without getting HTTP 500 error
