IMAP issue after enabling TLS 1.2 on mail server , resulting in error - Could not connect to email server. JMail client in invalid state ... nullAUTHENTICATE failed.

Customer disabled TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 on MS Exchange 2016 and enabled industry standard TLS 1.2

Symptoms

On : 15.7 [IP2015] version, Comms Server & Email Response

When attempting to use IMAP in Prod env
the following error occurs.

ERROR

Could not connect to email server. JMail client in invalid state!

IMAPSMTP[06/19/2018 17:31:36:644]:ERROR:Failed to connect to the email server!
