Adding Siebel calendar applet to the view breaks attachment applet pop-up edit function

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Login to Web Tools or Standard Tools
Create a new Workspace
Go to Account Attachment View
Add an applet "Activity HI Calendar Applet" with Item Identifier as 3.
Submit and Deliver

Login into Client
Navigate to Account Attachment View
Try to open an attachment.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot edit attachments in a view.
