New Column WEBDAV_UID Introduced In IP 2016 Causing Long Running Queries, Synchronization Takes Significantly Longer After Patch 3.10 (Doc ID 2439101.1)

Symptoms


CRM Desktop Synchronization is taking much long time to complete after upgrade to Siebel CRM Innovation Pack 2016 with CRM Desktop 3.10.0.x. 

Before user were using Siebel CRM IP 2015 with CRM Desktop 3.9.1.x and to synchronize appointment from MS Outlook to Siebel Enterrpise it takes couple of minutes, about 3-8 minutes depending on how much data is synchornized.

But now with Siebel CRM IP 2016 and CRM Desktop 3.10.x.x the same user takes more than 25 minutes.  Some CRM Desktop user first initial synchronization takes up to 1 hour now.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


1. Upgrade to Siebel CRM IP 2016 PathSet 19

2.  Install Siebel CRM Desktop 3.10.x.x on user's workstation with MS Outlook

3. Run the First Run Assistance (FRA) to get the new package (behavior can be observed even with standard package).

4. During the FRA, the latest steps is to execute the first initial synchronization to synchronize all information from user's MS Outlook and Siebel Enterprise, this operation takes up to 1 hour for some user.  Before the upgrade it takes some minutes.
