Siebel Audit Trail log Extraction for ETL and report purposes
We are trying to decode audit trial functionality into a custom table for reporting purposes. We need all the audit data to be decoded and write to an external systems to generate reports.
As suggested by Oracle, we're currently using a standard Business Service (CSSService) which has eScript code to extract Audit logs from Siebel. The eScript code uses "Audit Trail Item 2" BC based on the "CSSBCVAuditTrail" Class to fetch the records.
We also implemented Oracle recommendation of limits the number of records processed in the batch for which we Created a wrapper workflow which in turn calls 10 sub workflows to extract data for a given period.
However we still facing extreme slowness and performance impacts. Hence we would like to know the best practices already available to decode the audit trial data and also let us know if Oracle has developed any tool to decode the audit trail data? What is Oracle suggestion of audit trail data for reporting purposes?
