Siebel 18.5 -update the statistics for enable WS on DB2 Z/OS failed (Doc ID 2450042.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to run UpgPhys process and reaching Enable Workspace Step, the following error occurs.

UpgradeLog UpgradeError 1 000000025b505562:0 2018-07-19 16:21:53 (err=126) was returned by application (/appl/siebel/ses/siebsrvr/bin/EnableWorkspace -s "$SiebelRoot" -t $TableOwner -u $TableOwner -p $TablePassword -o "$ODBCDataSource" -d $DatabasePlatform -w $UserName -y $UserName -z $Password -r "New Customer Repository" -c Y -k $SiebelLogDir).

sh: $SiebelRoot"/log/upgphys_dev_155_mf/output/EnableWorkspace_20180719_161239/ws_stats.sh: Permission denied


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Install Siebel 17 and 18.5 update
2. run upgrep, IRM
3. run upgphys
4. at enabling WS step failed with above error
