18.8 Java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC Overhead Limit Exceeded (Doc ID 2450572.1)

Symptoms

On: 18.7 version, Installation

After applying 18.7 with Tomcat upgrade patchset, Getting Server busy error in the application on login.

SES Application container logs have following error in Catalina log and Siebel Application Container log.

"08-Sep-2018 11:48:51.774 SEVERE [ContainerBackgroundProcessor[StandardEngine[Catalina]]] org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase$ContainerBackgroundProcessor.run Unexpected death of background thread [ContainerBackgroundProcessor[StandardEngine[Catalina]]]
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded"

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.  18.7 + POC 3+ Patch28476347(Tomcat8.5.23 Upgrade)

2. After that trying to start the services
