Symptoms

PRODUCT VERSIONS:
------------------------------
SIEBEL VERSION: Siebel 16.19 [IP2016]
SIEBEL APP O/S: Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)

ISSUE STATEMENT:
----------------------------

When creating records in the Siebel dedicated client, data cleansing and deduplication are not being called eventhough the CFG file has Cleanse and Match Enabled = True. Siebel Dedicated Client is not able to invoke Cleanse and Match when using vanilla SRF nor customized SRF.

Data cleaning and deduplication are invoked and working as expected when using the same SRF and connecting to the same database as the server using the Web Client UI.

ERROR MESSAGE:
--------------------------
There are no error messages that occur with this issue, just the unexpected/undesired results being observed.

WHERE IT HAPPENED:
-------------------------------
The issue occurs in development environment.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
---------------------------------
The behaviour occurs as follows:

1. Log into Siebel Web Client UI, create a new Account with similar data as an existing account, cleansing and matching occurs.

2. Log into Siebel Dedicated Client UI, create a new Account with similar data as an existing account, cleansing and matching are not invoked at all.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
-------------------------------
The expected behaviour is that the cleansing and matching should occur.

WHAT IS WORKING:
------------------------------
The cleansing and matching are occurring only when logging into Siebel Client UI via Web Client.

LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY / BUSINESS IMPACT:
--------------------------------------------

Data created by mobile users through dedicated client are not getting cleansed and matched, causing data redundancy and duplicates.

This is a new deployment of EDQ into an existing Siebel 16.19 environment. The initial release is sometime next month (Jan 2019).
