Siebel IP17 SES Migration Installation Hangs Due To Large Amounts Of Files in logarchive Directory (Doc ID 2494535.1)

Symptoms

 

The Siebel SES entity was being migrated from 8.1.1.14 to IP17 version. After the SES Installation was launched, the "Migrate" option was selected. The Migration proceeded, but hangs towards the end at the step "Checking for customer modified files".


The behavior occurs as follows:

1. In a Siebel 8.1.1.14 environment, launch the IP17 SES installer.

2. In the SES installer, select the "Migration" option.

3. Proceed forward with the migration and let the migration run.

4. Towards the end of the migration at the step "Checking for customer modified files", the installer just hangs.
