Business Service "SIA BC Utility Service" That Invoked "ClearLOVCache" Method Crash/Hang. (Doc ID 2495326.1)

Symptoms

The customer has reported that when are invoking a Sub Process Workflow with a Business Service(SIA BC Utility Service) with the "BCInvokeMethod" method that invoked an input argument with the "ClearLOVCache" method for some reason stop working or crash/hang.

 

 

 

Steps to reproduce the issues:

On Siebel Tools:
1. Created two Workflow Process for example the first a SubProcess (Workflow ENU LOV Cache) to clean the LOV Cache and the second Workflow Process(Workflow All LANG LOV Cache) with the following information below:

a. Start > BS(SIA BC Utility Service) with Method(BCInvokeMethod) > End

MVPW > Input Arguments:
1. BusComp Name | Literal | List Of Values
2. Method Name | Literal | ClearLOVCache

b. Start >Subprocess(Workflow ENU LOV Cache) > BS(Synchronous Server Requests) with Method(SubmitRequest) > End

MVPW > Input Arguments:
1. Component | Literal | WfProcMgrFra
2. WfProcMgr.ProcessName | Literal | Workflow ENU LOV Cache
3. DelAmount | Literal | 10
4. DelUnits | Literal | Mins
5. Method | Literal | RunProcess


Result: When run the Workflow thought the Command Prompt with the following command(srvrmgr:srvr1> run task for comp WfProcMgr with ProcessName='Workflow All LANG LOV Cache' and also through Administration - Server Manager > Jobs, crash with the following error message below:


1. From Command = ServerLog ProcessExit 1 000000045be41a7c:0 2018-11-08 07:36:03 WfProcMgr 7376 SBL-OSD-01000   Process 7376 exited with error - Internal: The process attempted to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.

2. From Jobs = SBL-SRB-00061: Process WfProcMgr on Siebel Server srvr1 terminated.

 

NOTE: The issues can be reproduced outside of the Workflow Process by simulating on Siebel Open UI on Sitemap > Administration - Business Service > Simulator and run the simulation the BS(SIA BC Utility Service) with the (BCInvokeMethod) Method and the following input arguments below as is it showing in the screenshot above:

1. BusComp Name | Literal | List Of Values

2. Method Name | Literal | ClearLOVCache
