Last updated on JANUARY 16, 2019

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 18.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

For Siebel 18.x, customer is planning to go with Apache based Agent using SSO. In this setup, they will be passing header variable from the Apache to Siebel. From the Siebel side, customer was not clear on how to implement SSO configuration. Since this involves setting up everything on Apache web server and Tomcat server, customer had below high-level questions for their implementation:

1. Could you please confirm if we can directly install the webagent on Application Interface Webserver?
2. Can we install the webagent on the AI tomcat server directly and will it have any impact? They have documentation for doing the same on Tomcat but they are not sure about Siebel AI tomcat.
3. Do we need to have reverse-proxy webserver in front of AI webserver?
