Hierarchical Picklist Data Unavailable After EIM Load (Doc ID 2501752.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 25, 2019

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 18.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 18.8 version, EIM

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When hierarchical LOV data is managed using EIM process and an integration workspace, the Org enabled LOV may not show the new values.

If a user associates the LOV type to Organizations, it creates records in S_LST_OF_VAL_BU for only the MAIN workspace.  The corresponding picklist searches only for LOV data associated to the integration WS and therefore the Org-enabled LOV values are not visible in the drop down.

However, when running EIM to update the data, the EIM status shows duplicate record exists.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
EIM should be able to create hierarchical LOV records that can be seen in the application.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create multiple workspaces
2. Create LOV record
3. Create new child LOV record
4. Child record points to the WS_SRC_ID of the parent
5. Records do not display properly in hierarchical picklists
6. SQL includes reference to PAR_ROW_ID=WS_SRC_ID

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
Due to this issue, users cannot create new hierarchical picklist values.
