Multiple Japanese Characters On Phone Field Disables Scripting (Doc ID 2513154.1)

Symptoms

As documented in the following knowledge document, once you enter multiple japanese characters on phone field, the cursor can't get out of the field.

Adding to it, even though you can workaround it by following the steps in the solution in the document, the script on the field stops working until the applet gets refreshed (F5 or navigation).
