On : 18.12 version, Email Marketing Server
Unable to start Siebel ESD service 2.18.8
we have Siebel Environment IP18.12 up and running on AIX 7.2 platform with JAVA 1.8 64 bit version. On the same machine, we are also installing ESD module 2.18.8 with JAVA 1.8 32-bit version. The installation is successful. However ESD services are getting exited immediately after starting. It is exiting with error like:
2019-03-03 14:40:35,556 ERROR c.s.s.c.u.l.Logger [localhost-startStop-1] Unable to connect to siebel
java.lang.NullPointerException: null
.....
2019-03-03 14:40:35,562 ERROR c.s.s.c.u.l.Logger [localhost-startStop-1] ESD module is not licensed!
2019-03-03 14:40:35,563 FATAL c.s.s.c.u.l.Logger [localhost-startStop-1] Exiting

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install ESD
2. Configure ESD
3. Start ESD
4. Observe that the error occurs
