Unable to Add Product on Opportunity (Doc ID 2527676.1)

Unable to add Product on Opportunity


Actual behavior:
Add new record icon is disabled on Pick Applet

Expected behavior:
Add new record icon should be enabled and user be able to add a new record.

ERROR

Add new record icon is disabled.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Exposed Product field from Opportunity business component on applet.
2. On Product field following changes are made:
- added picklist PickList Opportunity Product and set Read only property to FALSE
3. Added new Control (Product) on applet Opportunity Form Applet - Child, on that Control set Pick Applet: Opportunity Product Pick Applet.
4. On pick applet Opportunity Product Pick Applet in Web Layout exposed control ButtonNew.
5. After compiling all changes when tried to add new product to Opportunity, not able to, because + button is grayed and cannot be clicked on. No new record can be created in pick applet.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact: Users not able to add Product to Opportunity records and this is preventing them from completing the process.
Due to this issue, users cannot add new record on Pick Applet.
