Gateway Security Profile With SSL Database (TCPS Connection) Entries In Datasoure is not working (Doc ID 2528645.1)

Symptoms

Siebel gateway security profile creation is failing when pointing database with TCPS port instead of TCP port. This is required to enable Siebel with DB SSL. 


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Install the Siebel binaries

2. Start Siebel Management console to start configuration

3. While configuring the Gateway security profile, uder Data Source setcion provide SSL port of Database instead of TCP port

4. secturity profile creation fails with "Validation Failed"
