Is It Suggested To Set The Compatibility Of MS SQL Server 2016 To 2008 For Siebel CRM IP-2017 (Doc ID 2535319.1)

Goal

1. Both MS SQL Server 2014 and 2016 have performance issues with Siebel CRM due to a new Hash Join feature introduced in both.Hash Joins are disabled for Oracle Databases but not for MS SQL Server which would cause performance issues.

2. Is it suggested to set the compatibility of MS SQL Server 2016 to 2008? If compatibility is an option or solution? (setting 2016 to 2008 or 2014 mode)?Is it supported or allowed?
If hash joins can be disabled ?
