Can Not Change Sales Stage Field In Opportunity View (Doc ID 2537627.1)

Symptoms

(1) Go to Opportunity List View and select any opportunity record.

(2) Try to change the value in 'Sales Cycle' field in Opportunity List Applet or 'Sales Stage' field in Opportunity Form Applet.

(3) The value goes back to the previous value and the object manager log file shows the following error:

SBL-DAT-00225: The value entered in field Status of buscomp Opportunity does not match any value in the bounded pick list PickList Opportunity Status.
