Siebel application hanging after entering login credentials

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Trying to hit the application URL, login page is displayed. But the application hangs after entering credentials and clicked login. Browser console does not have any information, it is just blank. Siebel AOM, webserver logs are stuck after some point and not really getting updated. No errors found.
