Last updated on JULY 22, 2021

Applies to:

Siebel Mobile Applications - Version 18.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Siebel Mobile Specific - on version: 18.9

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
In Mobile application, when trying to add multiple email addresses in Email Address field on a Contact, semicolon is getting wiped off on saving of record.
This happened only when using the Siebel Mobile App installed and not with the Mobile application URL (in a browser session).

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expectation here is to save the changes for the Email Address details with semicolon character for Contact records having more than one email address - so that could be used directly if needed.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will in Customer's environment with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Contact details
2. Edit the existing Email Address field to add a second address
(i.e. - from existing value = '<emailaddress1>', to modified value = '<emailaddress1>; <emailaddress2>' )
3. Try to save that record and check the results
4. In that case, it appears that semicolon separator character ";" gets removed.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, Mobile end-users could not add a second email address to be ready for use for Contacts if needed.
