Siebel Call Center Shows HTTP 500 Error After Windows OS Upgrade Of Servers To Windows 2012 (Doc ID 2570332.1)

Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit) - Version: 2008 R2

Symptoms

After upgrading Siebel server machines to Windows 2012 for the Siebel gateway, web, and application servers, users are not able to bring up the Siebel Client UI login page. When trying to bring up the login page, it returns HTTP 500 error on the IE browser and there are not any log entries in any of the log files.

ERROR MESSAGE:

HTTP 500 Error

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
---------------------------------
1. Shutdown Siebel Gateway, Server, Web Server Services.
2. Update Windows OS to Windows 2012 version.
3. Start up Siebel Gateway, Server, Web Server Services.
4. Use IE Browser to load the Siebel Client UI URL, the browser returns http 500 error.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

The expected behaviour is that the Siebel Client UI login page displays.

LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY / BUSINESS IMPACT:
--------------------------------------------
Since the login page is not displayed, users are not able to use the Siebel application.
