Siebel CRM - Version 19.6 and later

Goal

On activity record, create a new record, Start field defaults to current date time. Then remove the default value in the Start field, then bring the calendar control up, you will see the calendar control defaults to 12:00am.

Please Note, this SR is about defaulting the hour and minute slider on the Calendar CONTROL to current date time. not about defaulting a field value to current date time. if the field is already populated with a date time, the calendar control will show that date time. That's why i am asking you to remove the pre defaulted value in the field Start Date on the Activity record, then you will be able to see that the calendar POP UP control hour and minutes slider are defaulted to 12:00am instead of current date time. my screehshot word doc shows that calendar pop up hour and minutes slider shows 12:00AM.

Out of box, date time calendar control defaults to 12:00:00 AM after blanking out the date, for example, Start field in My Activities view. How can we make it default to current date time?

Yes, we understand we can click on Now button to get current date time. But we are wondering if there is anything that can be done on open ui side to default the slider for hour and time to current date time so user does not have to click on Now. That is an extra click for the users. In 8.1.1.9 prior to the upgrade, the users did not have to click an extra button to get current date time. The calendar control defaults to current date time in 8.1.1.9.
