BI Publisher showing certificate error after configuring Siebel Security Model and importing certs into Java Keystore (Doc ID 2575567.1)

Symptoms

When trying to login into the BI Publisher Console "http://<server:port>/xmlpserver/" with Siebel security credentials the below error is thrown:

Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: com.ibm.jsse2.util.h: PKIX path building failed: java.security.cert.CertPathBuilderException: PKIXCertPathBuilderImpl could not build a valid CertPath.; internal cause is:
java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: The certificate issued by CN=XXXXX, DC=xxxxxx, DC=local is not trusted; internal cause is:
java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Certificate chaining error

 

Changes

 Copied the two siebel certs( Root CA Certificate and Server Certificate) from Siebel WebServer to BIP host.

 Imported the certificates to <\Middleware\Oracle_Home\oracle_common\jdk\jre\lib\security\cacerts>.
