CRM Desktop Sync Error Out "Alarm cannot be set for this appointment because the alarm would be in the past.(SBL-APS-52019)(SBL-EAI-04451)" (Doc ID 2609069.1)

Symptoms

When users are trying to change a day or the hours to a new or existing activity with Alarm(Reminder), the error occurs. The error occurs when a Local Sync between the Outlook Application to Siebel application is Sync. The sync fails and no change has been done on Siebel application The following error message was captured on CRM Desktop Synchronization Control Panel as shows in the screenshot below:

 

 

 

 

Steps to Reproduce the issue:

 

A. First Scenario:

 

1. On Outlook App.

2. Create a new activity with a reminder with a future day or a past day.

3. Run a Local Sync.

4. On Siebel UI > Go to Calendar and the activity was sync.

5. On Outlook app > change the activity date from the future to the past or past to the future. For example from 11/10/2019 to 11/12/2019 or other way around.

6. Run a Local Sync.

7. On CRM Desktop Control Pane showing a Transient Issues with an error code "3" with a message "Unknown error has occurred" but in another scenario is showing the error message below.

8. On Siebel UI > Go to Calendar and sync was failed. Not change has been done on the Siebel side. For some reason the activity still on the same day.

 

B. Second Scenario:

 

1. On Outlook App.

2. Create a new activity with a reminder in the future day or a past day.

3. Run a Local Sync.

4. On Siebel UI > Go to Calendar and the activity was sync.

5. On Outlook app > change the activity time for the activity. For example, from 12 PM to 1 PM with the same day.

6. Run a Local Sync.

7. On CRM Desktop Control Pane showing a Transient Issues with an error code "3" with a message "Unknown error has occurred" but in another scenario is showing the error message below.

 

8. On Siebel UI > Go to Calendar and sync was failed. Not change has been done on the Siebel side. For some reason the activity still on the same hours.
