Auto Transformation On The Attribute Value With Special Character

Information in this document applies to any platform.
It was discovered that when configuring a customized product with a attribute value that contains double quotes that the value was changed to a backslash.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Customize a product in configuration.
2. Enter value with double quote (") e.g. "Test"
3. Note that the value will be altered to \Test"
