Child Products Are Not Updated When We Change The Root Product In Order Creation

When the root product is changed from one product to another, the child products are not added automatically
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Product structure: Root product 1 has child products A and B and root product 2 has child products C and D
1. Select root product 1.
2. System correctly loads child products A and B.
3. Update root product from 1 to 2.
4. The system keeps child products A and B when it should remove these and add children C and D products.
