IP2017: HTTP Status 500 - The server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request (Doc ID 2643330.1)

Symptoms

New login requests cannot be established due to error HTTP Status 500 – Internal Server Error.

The evidence of the issue captured in CommonLogger.log

[ERROR] [https-jsse-nio-9011-exec-11] CommonLogger - com.siebel.swsm.store.ConfigStore:getConnString Unable to fetch connect string from cloud gateway.Check system configuration and network connection status
[ERROR] [https-jsse-nio-9011-exec-10] CommonLogger - com.siebel.swsm.store.ConfigStore:getConnString Error in fetching CG connectionString from CGUri : Connection refused Retrying Count: 1
