Symptoms

When using SoapUI to send an inbound REST request into Siebel to query for data, the REST response is not returning Spanish characters correctly.

For instance:

a. Siebel REST response returns this:                               Préstamo Personal

Here it as the é characters which is not desired/not expected.

b. While the correct response should be this:                    Préstamo Personal

Here it has the accented é character which is correct/expected since é is character stored in the Siebel database for the value in the field.
