Siebel IP2017: Delayed task creation in shm can lead to uneven load balancing across Application Object Manager servers (Doc ID 2648991.1)

Symptoms

Imbalance of Application Object Manager tasks sessions across Siebel servers. 

Couple of Object Manager processes are running zero tasks while other servers are overloaded.

 

SBL-OSD-00001 error is written in Siebel Enterprise or component log which indicates a timeout in writing the shm file.

GenericLog GenericError (scfdata.cpp (1122) err=851969 sys=0) SBL-OSD-00001: Internal: Function call timed out (0)

 

Many SBL-JCA-00200 errors are reported in UI.log file of Application Interface Tomcat for each failed login attempt.

SBL-JCA-00200: Could not open a session in {0} attempts. {1}

 

Changes

 No change as this is Siebel Native Load-balancing mechanism in Siebel IP2017.
