Last updated on JUNE 03, 2020

Applies to:

Siebel Field Service - Version 15.18 [IP2015] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 15.18 [IP2015] version, Field Service

To workaround to avoid the performance issue in the Dispatch Board when having hundreds of Employees in a given Region Hierarchy, the following has been implemented:

1. In the FS Dispatch Board Gantt Applet > User prop

2. In [Applet] object list, select 'FS Dispatch Board Gantt Applet', change applet user prop : Date Padding for TimeScale LIC

from

"1:1;2:1;4:2;32:1;64:0;128:1;256:1;512:2;1024:2;2048:2;4096:2;8192:0;16384:0;32768:0"

 to

 "1:0;2:1;4:2;32:1;64:0;128:1;256:1;512:2;1024:2;2048:2;4096:2;8192:0;16384:0;32768:0".

(The ONLY thing changed was the very first one parameter “1:0”)

However, this introduced the 2 following regressions:

1) Cannot drag & drop activities on the right part of the dispatch board. Try schedule an activity on the last day or the day before displayed, the activity is not dropped on the dispatch board but move back to the unscheduled activities box. Only the 5 first days displayed on the left are available for the drag & drop.

2) In Dispatch Board Gantt Chart pane, the horizontal scrollbar disappeared while the scrollbar in employee pane stay displayed.
