When Trying to Access the Siebel application the Following Error Occurs - Chrome: This site can’t be reached / Firefox: Unable to connect (Doc ID 2668425.1)

Symptoms

Trying to access the Siebel application the following errors occurred in the Chrome or Firefox web browsers

Chrome Browser

This site can’t be reached

localhost refused to connect.

Try:

  • Checking the connection
  • Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

 

Firefox Browser

Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
