Invoking Custom Perl Script From Test Automation Is Failing With Error - java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException (Doc ID 2672155.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to execute perl script using test automation, Test execution fails with below error in Test Automation Reports html:

ERROR
-----------------------

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Configure test case to invoke a perl script using InvokePerl keyword
2. Execute test case by clicking Play button.
3. Test case execution fails with above error coming up in test execution report html file.
