Last updated on MAY 13, 2021

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 19.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Inbound REST interface calling standard ASI Business Service "Service Request" , method QuerybyExample produces HTTP-200 even though the record was not found.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Follow the example in How To Test Siebel IP2016 RESTFul Services API (Doc ID 2193144.2) -> 7. RESTFul Service Demos --> Query for Business Object (Data)
to query for a NON EXISTING service request row id and confirm HTTP-404 is returned.

2.Now follow the example for "Execute A Business Service" to run ASI business service "Service Request", method QueryByExample to search for a NON EXISTING record as well.
Notice this time the response is HTTP-200 and an empty SiebelMessage.
