Downloading/Opening jpg Image Attachment Opens In An Unreadable Format In Chrome Browser

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Downloading/Opening jpg image is not working properly in Chrome browser.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following example steps:
1. Login to the application using Chrome browser
2. Navigate to the Accounts screen (or any other screen that has Attachments view)
3. Drilldown on the Account and go to Attachments view
4. Attach any .jpg file say test.jpg
5. Open the .jpg file by drilling down on it
Result: The attachment opens in a new window in an unreadable format.
