Marketing Import Process Inserts 0 Contacts Even Though it Shows it Successfully Read Records From the Flat File (Doc ID 2676511.1)

Last updated on JUNE 03, 2020

Applies to:

Siebel Marketing - Version 20.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running the Marketing import process, it is reading the records from the import file, but is importing 0 records. When checking the task, the following is observed:

Number of Contact records read from file: 99

However, it also shows the following:

Number of Contact records modified and/or inserted: 0

The records are being read, but it is failing to insert the record into Siebel. There are two exception files generated with the following messages:

============================================
Input Values:., +55, TELEMARKETING, +55, +55, +55, Id: NO ID, Error: The required field '' is missing from the integration component 'te in the instance of the Integration Component'. Enter a value for the field.
============================================

============================================
The following mandatory fields are missing
============================================

Expected behavior is that the number of records read from the file should be inserted into Siebel.

To reproduce the issue, run the Marketing Import job to insert records from a flat file.

Due to this, the Marketing Import is not importing any records into the Siebel database.
