Symptoms

Customer is trying to do fast short releases to production using IRR migration They are seeing failures on IRR import from Test environments to Production failing with duplicate errors on workflows. The duplicate error is related to an attempt to violate a unique index of S_WFR_PROC.

Error:

The Duplicate rows was traced to the following SQL during Export

SELECT TBL1.* FROM (SELECT * FROM SIEBEL.S_WFR_PROC WHERE REPOSITORY_ID = '1-3FKK0-1' AND ((WS_ID = '1-3FKK0-4' AND WS_OBJ_VER <= 32)) AND PROC_NAME IN ( SELECT T1.OBJ_NAME FROM SIEBEL.S_RTC_MOD_OBJ T1, SIEBEL.S_WS_VERSION T2 WHERE T1.REPOSITORY_ID = '1-3FKK0-1' AND T2.REPOSITORY_ID = '1-3FKK0-1' AND (T2.WS_ID = '1-3FKK0-4’ AND T2.VERSION_NUM >= 32 AND T2.VERSION_NUM <= 32) AND T1.WS_VER_ID = T2.ROW_ID AND T1.OBJ_TYPE = 'Workflow Process')) TBL1 LEFT OUTER JOIN (SELECT * FROM SIEBEL.S_WFR_PROC WHERE REPOSITORY_ID = '1-3FKK0-1' AND ((WS_ID = '1-3FKK0-4' AND WS_OBJ_VER <= 32)) AND PROC_NAME IN ( SELECT T1.OBJ_NAME FROM SIEBEL.S_RTC_MOD_OBJ T1, SIEBEL.S_WS_VERSION T2 WHERE T1.REPOSITORY_ID = '1-3FKK0-1' AND T2.REPOSITORY_ID = '1-3FKK0-1' AND (T2.WS_ID = '1-3FKK0-4' AND T2.VERSION_NUM >= 32 AND T2.VERSION_NUM <= 32) AND T1.WS_VER_ID = T2.ROW_ID AND T1.OBJ_TYPE = 'Workflow Process')) TBL2 ON (TBL1.WS_SRC_ID = TBL2.WS_SRC_ID AND TBL1.WS_OBJ_VER < TBL2.WS_OBJ_VER) WHERE TBL2.WS_SRC_ID IS NULL AND TBL1.WS_DELETE_FLG <> 'Y' AND TBL1.INACTIVE_FLG <> 'Y' AND TBL1.STATUS_CD <> 'NOT_IN_USE'

Changes

Customer develops workflow processes, Exports them to SIF files, and then imports them back into their Siebel Tools environment in case they need to revert to a previous version of the workflow.

Steps done on Tools:

1. Rename the existing workflow on Tools so Customer identify the workflow and its version.

2. Inactivate the renamed workflow.

3. Import the workflow which has been exported as an archive, When customers wants to revert to a previous version of the workflow process
