How to Find Which Active Workflow is Currently Deployed in Runtime Table on Siebel 20.6 and Previous Releases? (Doc ID 2690285.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2021

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 17.0 [IP2017] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Since Workflows became Workspace-Enabled in the Design Repository (DR), the Repository Version column became irrelevant. New versions of the workflow are tracked at the workspace level and the workflow repository version is never incremented. This makes it very difficult to know which version is currently active in the Active Workflow Processes view (a.k.a Workflow Runtime table).

In this article we will present the steps for exporting the active workflow so that we can compare it with one from the DR. Since this procedure is not available in the client application, it must be done as a set of manual steps.

NOTE: This information applies only to Siebel 20.6 and prior.

With Siebel release 20.7 and higher this is not required anymore since Workflows are now workspace enabled in Runtime Repository (RR) and there is no way to get a different version of the workflow active. Whatever workflow you deliver to a workspace, that will be used and if the int or MAIN has been migrated to RR that is what will be in RR similar to other objects. With Siebel 20.7 and later releases, workflow now is like an applet for BC object.
