User Preference Files Not Saved in a Mult-Server Setup (Doc ID 2705920.1)

Symptoms

Upon moving / rearranging (drag and drop) columns in List Applets and changing the columns displayed / order via Menu --> Columns displayed, the updates are not saved (in the user preference file).
When user navigates to another screen and come back to previous screen, the changes are lost.
Similar behavior is noticed when user makes the changes, logout and login back to Siebel Application.

Setup includes three Siebel application servers and user preference files are configured (SMC --> Enterprise profile --> Primary Siebel File System) to be saved in a directory of one of the application servers.
