Symptoms

After upgrading to IP2017 and later, the Siebel Application Object Manager with LDAP authentication fails to load and keeps spinning without providing the login page and below errors are seen in the Application Object Manager logs:

NameServerLayerLog Debug 5 000000115faf2568:0 2020-11-14 09:03:19 CSSRegistryConnectionMgr::GetConnection

The above error is generic and additionally, it needs to be checked if customer is using LDAP and seeing this behavior by checking the Application Object Manager logs for below parameters.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Upgrade from 15.18 to IP2017 or later
2. Setup AOM to authenticate against LDAP (IBM Tivoli) with IBM LDAP client and IBM GSKit.
3. Check to see if application is coming up with LDAP.
