Siebel Remote : Incorrect Behavior Of Password Expiration For Remote Client (Doc ID 2733540.1)

Symptoms

Incorrect behavior of Password Expiration/Warning Period for remote clients if  there is a change in Remote System Preference Expiration and Warning Period Value after local database initialization .. New values are not written to mwc_storage.cfg . As mwc_storage.cfg  retains old value ,  Password Expiration and Warning Period functionality works as per old values  not new values .

 

Replication Steps

-1. Navigate to Administration -siebel remote -> Remote System preference
-2. Note down Expiration and Warning Days value
-3. Generate New database + Extract the database for remote client
-4. Initialize the database
-5. Password expiration and warning days work as expected for the first time .
-6. Change Expiration and Warning Days value from Remote System preference
-7. Synchronize from remote client
-8. Password expiration and warning days functionality works as per the old values

Note : Password expiration does not work as expected even after renaming mwc_storage.cfg and re extracting the database .
