How to Set a Default Value for Login Session (guest session) Timeout ? (Doc ID 2742778.1)

Last updated on JUNE 17, 2021

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 17.0 [IP2017] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Based on the Security guide
"The Siebel Application Interface profile includes a Basic Information section for defining Authentication, Logging, and REST Inbound Defaults, an Other Information section for defining SWE, and an Applications section for defining Basic Information, Mobile, and Enhanced Authentication for individual Siebel Business Applications. Each parameter value in the Basic Information section is used by all individual applications, unless you override the parameter’s value (for a specific application) with an entry in the Applications section."
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/F26413_08/books/Secur/configuration-parameters-related-to-authentication.html#c_Siebel_Application_Interface_Profile_Parameters_ah1525139

The following occurs
1. Create a new AI Profile and set "Login Session (guest session) Timeout Value (seconds)" at Authentication Level Parameter to 60 (default is 300)
2. Create new Application under the above AI Profile
3. Go to Enhanced Authentication for the new application
4. The value for the ""Login Session (guest session) Timeout Value (seconds)"" is 300.

Question is if the behavior above is expected so that for every new Application created there is a need of updating the parameters value?
