List Applet Field Populated with HTML Value (Doc ID 2743273.1)

Symptoms

In the customized environment involving VBCs, when picklists are changed on the list columns, they are changing to very long html values exceeding 255 characters.

The issue can be reproduce using the following steps:

1. Using a VBC, create and configure a List Applet having two list columns with PickLists associated.
2. Have an identical column display name for both the list columns.
3. Upon accessing the list columns (fields) and using the picklist dropdown,
when values are selected one after the other, the picklist value changes to a
very long html value, preventing correct value to be set or saved.
